Gemma Doyle is turning 16 and terribly wants to move from her home in sunny India to the cold, busy streets of England. While she argues constantly with her mother and leaves her abandoned in the market, Gemma sees a mysterious and handsome stranger. All of a sudden, Gemma feels a horrible pain that brings her down to her knees and she falls into a vision. What she sees is her mother, and a dagger. Two months later she is sent to Spence Academy for Young Ladies. She meets three new girls that help her throughout her mysterious and dangerous journey, Ann, Felicity, and Pippa. Gemma keeps on having these visions and is afraid she is going mad, but with the help of a diary and beloved teacher she begins to unravel her power. In my opinion, this book was simply lovely. It was intense, sad, and makes you feel like you are an English lady yourself; in the middle of the gossip, the studies, and the fashion. I could not put this book down. Honestly, it was amazing and I recommend it for anyone who loves a good magic story.

13 To Life by Shannon Defany
Jessica Gillesmen is trying to live a normal teenage life, but ever since her mom died. Normal is not exactly in her vocabulary. Trying to maintain her sanity and catch the eye of her crush, Jess has the help of her supporting father and two best friend, Amy and Sarah. But everything takes a sudden turn when a new family from Russia moves into the small town, and the principal gives Jess the pleasure of showing Pietr around. Jess doesn't understand this boy. So devastatingly handsome and strange, Jess can't help but wonder if he's hiding something. What she doesn't know about Pietr is that he has a very dark and dangerous secret. Her world comes crumbling down and now everything is not what it seems anymore. In my opinion, this book was just W-O-W. I loved it so much! I couldn't put it down and I finished it in the same day! I recommend reading it, and trust me you'll be wanting to read the second one Secrets and Shadows.

Elixir by Hilary Duff
Clea Raymond is a talented photojournalists who goes to different and exotic places. After her father's disappearance, Clea has been escaping into her own world. While she takes a closer look at her pictures she starts to notice the image of a young man. She doesn't know who he is, but he's beautiful. When fate brings them together; they try to piece together the mystery of her father's disappearance. Stuck in a love triangle and haunted by a secret that holds their futures, pasts, and fates; Clea is on a race against time. I did not like this book. It was too boring. I couldn't finish the chapters sometimes. I kept reading, though thinking it might be one of those books like Twilight; where the beginning is boring but then action comes and hits you. Sadly, I was wrong. I don't know about you, but I did not like this book.

Eve by Anna Carrey
Eve is beautiful, talented, and one of the smartest girls to ever attend School. She was the valedictorian and had everything ready for graduation. Then everything changed when she realized the truth and escapes into the wild where she encounters Arden and Caleb. Arden, the mysterious beautiful girl who was always so cruel helps her throughout the journey. Caleb, the handsome man who Eve is starting to trust, but knows she shouldn't based on everything she learned in School. She can't trust anything she learned from her lessons, though. Not when everything seems to be wrong and she's left confused. The King(the only man the girls were taught to respect) is looking for her and Eve doesn't know why, but she has to do everything she can to not get caught and taken to the City of Sand. In all, this book was great and left me utterly speechless. I cannot wait for Once. It has romance and intensity. I recommend this book for just about anyone.

Street Pharm by Allison Van Diepen
Street Pharm is an amazing book. It's pretty small maybe around 300 pages, but maybe this isn't small for some of you guys. This story is about Ty Johnson who inherited his father's drug business and it describes how he faces the struggles of this life. He expresses his plans and his skills. He talks about how he's smarter than his father and he lists a lot of the quotes he follows. Ty has always been smart and he knows it. Since he stopped caring about school to focus on the business; he got kicked out and was sent to another school. His widowed mother made him go because she believes he can get out of the hustling life and be somebody. He attends the school and meets a beautiful, smart girl named Alyse. His number one rule is not having a girlfriend, but he can't stop thinking about her and things get worse when there's a new hustler in town who threatens to take Ty down. This book is definitely a must read. I enjoyed it since the beginning and couldn't put it down.

Beautiful Malice by Rebecca James
This book can't be described in words. It was just wonderful. This is the story of Katherine Boydell and her rough journey of her life after the horrible incident that happened to her younger sister Rachel. James really knows how to express the strong emotions that Katherine feels and I loved how she put the whole book together. The book is written in three narrative parts. James didn't give too much details and she revealed the Katherine's story bit by bit. Honestly, I've never felt so much sadness, joy, hatred, and anger from one book. The reader will be wanting to rip Alice to shreds, fantasizing about Robbie and Mick, and wanting a friend like Phillipa. As you should guess this book is a MUST READ.
